- What is veeAlias™?
veeAlias™ is an unVOXT service you can use to save time, money and maybe even your mind. By having separate numbers for each context of your life, you can mangage your incoming and outgoing calls to suit business and personal needs. For more details, visit the veeAlias™ Service Page.
- What can I use veeAlias™ for?
Whether you're home, at work, or out on the town, veeAlias™ gives you handy tools such as faxing, international dialing, call recording and more. You can review all your faxes, calls, and other features in the My Account area.
- How do I register for a veeAlias™?
To add veeAlias to your cart, visit the veeAlias™ Order Page.
- How long does a veeAlias™ last?
You decide how long to reserve your veeAlias number. When you order, you'll select the number of months to (initially) reserve your veeAlias. You can later extend the reservation through the My Account area.
- Can I choose what area code I want the veeAlias™ to be in?
Yes. When you visit the veeAlias™ Order Page, you can choose an area code for Prepaid veeAlias Standard.
- Can I get a toll free number as a veeAlias?
Yes. Visit Solutions and choose Prepaid veeAlias Toll-Free Standard for more information.
- Can I get "vanity numbers" or "custom numbers" for veeAlias™-- can I choose a specific number I don't already have?
Yes. To do this, first Contact unVOXT, as this feature is not yet automated.
- Can I transfer my current home, landline, mobile, or other phone number for use with veeAlias™?
Yes. To do this, first Contact unVOXT to arrange for transfer, as this feature is not yet automated.
- What payment methods does unVOXT accept?
Visa, Mastercard and Paypal. If you have a bulk order request, please Contact unVOXT to make arrangements.
- Can I convert my current number into a veeAlias™?
Yes, you can keep your number and use it with the veeAlias service. You can also convert your existing phone numbers to veeAliases.
- How do I deactivate a veeAlias™?
If you want to keep your veeAlias, but don't want to receive calls, you can make that selection in the My Account area.
If you no longer want to use your veeAlias, you can cancel your veeAlias Service at any time, releasing the number from your account.
- How do I make outgoing calls using different veeAliases™?
You can decide how to choose your veeAlias when making outgoing calls:
- If you're starting the call from a mobile phone or landline (not a smartphone), you can select a veeAlias by an assigned digit on your phone's keypad or by simply saying the voice tag you chose for your veeAlias.
- If you're starting the call from a smartphone with the unVOXT Mobile™ application, some contacts may already be pre-linked with a given veeAlias, so you won't even need to choose. For all other contacts, you can select the right veeAlias on-screen when prompted.
- Can I use veeAlias with my mobile phone (not a smartphone)?
Yes. You don't need a smartphone or any special device to use veeAlias.
- Can I use veeAlias with my iPhone™?
Yes. Use unVOXT Mobile for iPhone® for maximum ease, speed, and integration.
- Can I use veeAlias with my Treo™?
Yes. Use unVOXT Mobile for Palm for maximum ease, speed, and integration.
- Can I use veeAlias with my Blackberry™?
Yes. Use unVOXT Mobile for BlackBerry for maximum ease, speed, and integration.
- Can I use veeAlias my Smartphone?
Yes. There may also be a version of unVOXT Mobile for your platform.
- Can I use veeAlias with my laptop or desktop computer?
Yes. You can use your laptop or desktop computer. With unVOXT Messenger, you can make calls, chat, IM, play games, and more.
- Can I use veeAlias with my Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) Softphone / Software Hardware / Device?
Yes, so long as your VOIP software or hardware supports the widely used SIP protocol. VOIP calls get the best possible rates for incoming and outoing calls. Also, unVOXT is leading the industry with standard support for VOIP encryption for additional VOIP call security.
- Will I know which alias an incoming call is intended for?
Yes. If you're using a landline or mobile phone, you can setup your veeAlias to show the caller's Caller ID information on your phone, and to hear the veeAlias information when you answer. You'll have a chance to accept or reject the call. Another option is to setup your veeAlias to simply show your veeAlias number on your phone's Caller ID display so you can immediately know which veeAlias the call is for. As usual, you can listen to the Caller's Number before you accept the call..
If you're using a Voice-over-IP (VOIP) phone, you can clearly see both the incoming call's Caller ID information and the veeAlias for the call.
